socat is a relay for bidirectional data transfer between two independent data channels. Each of these data channels may be a file, pipe, device (serial line etc. or a pseudo terminal), a socket (UNIX, IP4, IP6 - raw, UDP, TCP), an SSL socket, a file descriptor (stdin etc.), the GNU line editor, a program, or an arbitrary combination of two of these. These modes include generation of "listening" sockets, pipes and pseudo terminals.
If you don't know what this means you don't need it.

About: Subversion is a concurrent version control system which enables one

hierarchy of files and directories while keeping a history of all
changes. Subversion only stores the differences between versions,
instead of every complete file. Subversion is intended to be a
compelling replacement for CVS.
This version is compiled without Berkeley DB support.

About: The developer unit of the Zaurus 5500 had a bug in the hardware clock that would cause it to lose a lot of time. So I ported rdate to the Zaurus and I made a simple front-end to it. (Rdate is a tool that will make your local time the time of another machine.)

Now updated with libpcap 0.7.1. libpcap.a is also included in this update, but not required to run tcpdump.
A popular network packet capture
tool (aka sniffer), TCPDUMP, has
been compiled to SHARP Zaurus SL5000
and SL5500. This is a direct port of
TCPDUMP 3.7.1. More info of TCPDUMP can be found at http://www.tcpdump.org
A GUI based network traffic tool
will follow.

About: file-synchronization tool
Unison is a file-synchronization tool for Unix and Windows. It allows two copies of a collection of files and directories to be stored on different hosts (or different disks on the same host), modified separately, and then brought up to date by propagating the changes in each replica to the other. Unison can deal with updates to both replicas of a distributed directory structure. Updates that do not conflict are propagated automatically. Conflicting updates are detected and displayed.
Unison can communicate through a direct socket link or through an rsh/ssh tunnel. It uses network bandwidth efficiently.
