About: Geocaching application for Qtopia.
If you do not know what geocaching is, visit the geocaching web pages at http://www.geocaching.com.
GeoHelper can:
* Display cache descriptions from www.geocaching.com page in a nice, single column format, appropriate for small screens.
* Decode encrypted hints.
You can also view cache descriptions in an HTML browser, such as Opera or NetFront, or using a PDF viewer. But these programs consume more memory on your PDA and are slower to load. Besides, the original layout of geocaching web pages or PDF files is not really suitable for small screens. Geohelper solves this problem by simplifying HTML and using a lightweight HTML browser to display it.

About: get all maps for a given region
This program is usefull to retrieve all maps (from www.maptuit.com) for a given region. It runs on a Linux PC and on the Zaurus. I wrote this little program by playing with the Zaurus GPS program qpegps.
Changelog: Now the program downloads the maps from www.maptuit.com instead from www.vicinity.com.

GpsDrive

About: Gps navigation system (Alpha!)
GpsDrive is a car (bike, ship, plane) navigation system. GpsDrive displays your position provided from your NMEA capable GPS receiver on a zoomable map, the map file is autoselected depending of the position and prefered scale. Speech output is supported if the "festival" software is running. The maps are autoselected for best resolution depending of your position and can be downloaded from Internet. All Garmin GPS reveiver with a serial output should be usable, also other GPS receiver which supports NMEA protocol.
GpsDrive is written in C with use of the GTK+ graphic toolkit and runs with Linux and FreeBSD.
Hint: gpsdrive requires X11 and gtk+ installed on your Z. There is no binary available.
In other words: This is highly experimental ;)

GPSGaugeLite is a highly efficient GPS NMEA data stream parser and display. It uses the optimized SerialPort SnoopInputStream class to parse the NMEA data stream. The program is so efficient it works comfortably on a Psion 5mx with it's tiny 36 MHz ARM processor.
GPSGaugeLite also provides a handy measuring method. The measuring method can be accurate to 3 meters when using a GPS receiver with Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS ).

Localizer is a vector and image based map viewer for Qtopia based PDA devices like the Zaurus. It's mainly focused on city maps and maps for exhibitions, expositions, congresses, etc. It can use vector graphics to draw your maps or it can use pictures (i.e. satellite images of cities). In the latter case, it can store images at multiple resolutions and let localizer decide which one to use in each moment. Localizer has an smart memory manager which will load/unload from memory the images that better suit the used zoom factor and the memory usage.

zGPS is a GPS display for a NMEA or SiRF compatible GPS receiver. It currently displays the satellite constellation, sat SNR's and various parameters such as speed, heading etc.

zRoadMap

About: GPS Navigation. Uses US Census Bureau vector maps
zRoadMap is a port of RoadMap for the Zaurus.
It uses the 2002 US Census Bureau TIGER/line maps in a compressed format that you can build yourself or download from the homepage (Average 30Megs per state - or smaller if you just want some counties).
Supports many GPS input devices, address locator, address book, waypoints, street information, direction up, zoom, festival speech output. Navigation is currently being worked on and any help is appreciated in making this better.
It's currently ported to x86 (GTK/GTK2/QT/QTe), Ipaq (GTK/QT/QTe) and Zaurus (QTe).
